Love Rollercoaster

I once knew a couple who had been married for about thirty years, and when I said "Wow, you two must really love each other a lot," the husband told me that the love waxed and waned like the moon does, but that the really important thing was the LIKING and the friendship. I really liked what he had to say, and in my experience over these twenty years since then, I think he's right.

I've fallen in love many times. I've been married three times. Romance is a wonderful, exciting high. It's a rollercoaster ride with ups and downs, twists and turns, and you have no idea of where the ride is going to take you. But eventually the ride comes to an end and you're sitting there beside this other person, it's time to get out of the seats and get on with living life together. And this, this is when you find out if what you have is really real, or if it's just infatuation.
